Main Story

Corporate giving a must in Cayman

The Flowers Sea Swim is one of the longest-running company-sponsored events in the Cayman Islands. In mid-June, the 20th annual open water swim drew nearly 850 swimmers from around the world, including more than a dozen Olympians.

The proceeds from registration fees go to charity. This year’s charity was Feed our Future Cayman, which provides lunches for needy school children.

Since 2004, the major beneficiaries of the Flowers Group’s event have been Habitat for Humanity (now called Cayman Community Housing), The Sunrise Adult Training Centre and Meal on Wheels.
