Main Story Corporate giving a must in Cayman’

Pirates Week, the Cayman Islands’ biggest festival, wouldn’t have been the smash hit that it was last year without the support of title sponsor Saxon MG.

The national festival attracted some 35,000 patrons and featured the popular float parade, competitions and events of all kinds, including the Heritage Days on all three Islands.

The revelry runs from 8-18 November this year and is supported by dozens of sponsors.

Last fall, Saxon MG CEO Brian Williams waxed enthusiastically about the relationship between the company and the festival.

“We have said from day one that our priority will be to reinvest money back into the local economy, and what is more indicative of this than sponsoring Cayman’s national festival – having not lost momentum in 34 years, this is part of Cayman’s heritage, and it is our honour,” he said.
