Christmas time at Grand Harbour
TOPIC: Shopping
December 1, 2009

December is here and there is so much to do. Stocking up on food, drinks, gifts and still fitting in all the regular chores can be, well, a chore. Grand Harbour hopes to make the entire experience somewhat less stressful and more pleasurable for all involved.

Those not keen on dragging the kids through the shops can drop them at the Black Pearl Skate and Surf Park before visiting the skate shop to look for some Christmas gifts.

The Christmas party season often means stains on expensive clothing, so drop these off at Island Cleaners. For a good selection of gifts, a visit to Hobbies and Books is in order, followed by a quick recharge with a latte or smoothie at the Brew House.

At Island Art you can pick out an original local painting and have it framed on the spot to add something special to your home this festive season, or as a gift.

The Game Shack offers a wide variety of board games and strategy games, perfect for bringing the family together over Christmas time.

For those who love their electronics, Caytech Electronics has the latest in flat-screen televisions and DVD players, while Cyber Joes can take care of any computer needs.

Every kid would love to see a games console or some new video games under the tree and Blockbuster is the ideal place to stop in.

Pop over to It’s your Party to order all your Christmas party needs and then visit Health Care Pharmacy for gifts and Christmas cards.

Blackbeard’s Trading Co can take care of all those Christmas party beverage needs, while Hurley’s can supply all the ingredients you need for that gourmet Christmas meal.

End the day with a relaxed dinner at the Brick House to wrap up a successful day of Christmas shopping.

For something even more special, visit the Grand Harbour Christmas Craft Sale on 12 December, presented by What’s Hot, or contact Game Shack and the Black Pearl for information on their holiday youth programmes.   WH
