The Cayman Music and Entertainment Association’s annual Muzaic festival is in preparation for another three day event starting 29 June at Tiki Beach.
At the moment Caymans finest are tuning guitars, polishing drums and warming up their vocal chords to entertain fans and tourists with their own genre of music. On the list are long time local favourites such as Local Motion, Regeneration and Intransit.
Sharing the stage with these deep-rooted performers will be Bonafide, Suite Elite, Impulz, Roots Connection and Backbeat. This line up of talent will open the Muzaic event at Tiki Beach starting at 5pm and going on until 2am.
Saturday , 30 June the show goes on with the Young Musicians Showcase at the Harquail Theatre from 1pm to 4pm. This is not to be missed, a line-up of Cayman’s young and upcoming stars.
At 4pm the resonance moves back to the Tiki Beach where the Island’s top DJs will clash to entertain you. They’ll don their headphones and dust off their console to beat-mix their own personal technique and sounds, ensuring dancers don’t leave the dance floor.
Sunday 1 July all moves back to the Harquail Theatre for the annual awards ceremony. This is Caymans own Grammy show where the association honours musical peers while the Islands’ musicians keep the show going.
The likes of Ed and Gordon Solomon, Gary Ebanks, Swanky and Henry Leslie will perform between the nominations and acceptance speeches.
Some of the regulars like The Barefoot Man, Andy Martin, Sea n’B and a few others will be missing from this year’s assemblage to perform at other venues abroad. Mark these dates off on your calendars, come out and support your local musicians and entertainers.
For more information on times, dates and tickets contact any member of the association.
