The Barefoot Man:About George

Red White & Blues band has been delighting locals and tourists with its electrifying performances for over ten years. The genre is a mix of classic rock and blues and should the request arise, a smidgen of everything else.

The band has played at many venues throughout Grand Cayman both in the form of weekly gigs and opening slots for visiting performers such as The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Red White & Blues use a unique combination of duelling lead guitars and a solid rhythm section to bring the crowd to its feet and leave them screaming for more.

With the exception of bassist Bruce Clark I’ve known these guys for ages. Drummer Don Foster worked in my band for some 15 years, Chris ‘Fire on the Frets’ Hanni was once night manager at the old Holiday Inn where he would endlessly critique my three chord arrangements. And as for Bob Moseley, well it’s hard to say if I am more intrigued with his musical talents or his German fare during the annual Oktoberfest party at his home.

When you add up the years that Red White & Blues members have been in the music business you’re going past a century and one would think the band would roll on stage in wheelchairs. Don started some 44 years ago, Bruce has been performing since 1963, and that’s nearly a century without adding Bob and Chris’ experience to the mix.

Well, at the moment old age has yet to set in and if you have any doubts catch Red White & Blues at the Havana Club where the band has been “deliverin’ the goods” every Saturday night since 2005. Their dazzling musicianship is certainly way better than doing straight shots of Geritol.
